Nikil Wale

Nikil is the head of computational sciences at Qognit Inc, where he is responsible for defining product strategy and contributing towards the development of its single cell platforms as well for customer interactions and support. He has over 12 years of experience in the fields of data analysis & software/algorithm-development for life sciences companies. Over his career, he led multiple computational sciences projects in close collaboration with biologists and clinical scientists.

He started his career at Pfizer Inc. where he worked closely with biologists and chemists on multiple projects in inflammation, cardiovascular and neuroscience departments. He led the development of Pfizer’s computational platform for the assessment of off-target interactions of small molecules. Following Pfizer, Nikil joined Nodality, where he was responsible for all informatics and data analysis aspects of client facing projects. In addition, he developed software algorithms to identify cell types and quantify protein expression for Nodality’s single cell platform. At Qognit, he is currently involved in client projects that span custom software development and data analysis in addition to development of Qognit’s single cell software products. He holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India and a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis with a minor in Bioinformatics.
